Hello gurus here,

I'd install and enjoy the FC1 for a while, and now tried to migrate to FC2.

I had a DVD iso and check the MD5 checksum, it shows the iso file is OK.

The hardware of my box is,

AMD Athlon XP 2000+
MSI 746F Ultra
256M RAM
80G+30G HDD.
BENQ 800A DVD Writer

I then boot from DVD, hit return, and see a lot of messages blows. Then the display stops, the last two lines are

running install...
running /sbin/loader

It hangs up here for more than four hours, so I believe the system is not work at all.

I'd tried to pass "nofb", "vdso=0", "acpi=on" as boot parameter, which are all failed.

Is there any way that I can migrate to FC2 from the currently working FC1 enviroment? Or, is there anyone using the same motherboard meet the same problem?

Thanks,

Allen

Hello,

its me again. forgive my poor english.

I'd tried to start a httpd so that I can use yum to update all packages from my FC1 /mnt/cdrom, and cannot find a guide line, is there anyone can provide information about how to do it.

I'd tried to mount the DVD and hit the autorun, and then pick some extra packages to install. It always tell me that there are package dependence problem and cannot go on. I don't like to install everything in the DVD, so this approach is not working either.

Regards,

Allen
