Help with installing ATI drivers on a hp dv7

Hello. I have a HP dv7-2040eo laptop and I need help with installing the drivers for ATI Mobility Radeon HD4650.
I have tried to download the drivers from ati.com, but when I restart the screen turns black :(
Im running the fedora 12 beta.

Is there anyone here who can help me? :confused:

I have had a bit of ati tweeking and can offer what I found. It has fixed my problems.

Find the Thread with the name "xorg only using VESA driver" then check it out! in post #24 you will see what fixed my system. You must make sure you have the latest updates etc, I am not sure which one had it but a bit ago some new ati drivers were added to the update packages.
