I have tried and tried:mad: to install the Fedora live cd several times, several different CD's and downloads. I always get an "out of range" error on my monitor. I can press the ESC key during the beginning and get a boot menu. Is there a way to change the screen resolution (1440x900, 75) for the live CD?

Do you mean for the "boot" of a LiveCD, or do you mean after a Live boot and then
during the "Install to Hard Disk" ?
Any other details ? . . . I might be able to help.

Dear natibo,
There are two simple ways to checkout whether the live cd is working or not. First, try
and download any other live cd like "PCLOS" :http://pclinuxos.com/?page_id=184. Run it and if you face the same problem, try to verify whether the .ISO image you downloaded onto your HDD was proper in every which way, thusly : http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Downloading_FAQ#Q:_What_are_these_strange_MD5_file s_that_accompany_the_ISO_CD_images.3F .
I personally found a torrent download was faster and better than from a mirror! If you are using Nero, then you can "Tick--VERIFY". One more point, isn't a DVD-RW save money in the long run? Just a thought! Best wishes.
