new gdesklets came in last night gdesklets-0.36.1-6.fc12.i686. Now it's not working.
Nothing comes up when I click on it in the accessories menu.
This is what I get when starting in terminal:
[GoinEasy9@Fedora12dw32 ~]$ gdesklets
Starting gdesklets-daemon...
Connecting to daemon [ ### ]

Could not import tiling module!

Cannot establish connection to daemon: timeout!
The log file might help you solving the problem.

This is beyond my expertise in the log.

Is this a bug for gnome & gdesklets, or, is this an F12 configuration problem?
I miss my goodweather applet....<sigh>

Edit: Same version of gdesklets running on F11, and is working but older version of goodweather 0.31-3 on F11, 0.31-4 on F12.
Edit: Am not a python programmer, but in ConfigDialog.py lines 77 & 78 have the new gtk.Tooltips lines (or are they the old lines?), are they missing from the library? Note to self: Learn some python!!!

Just don't know who to file the bug with.

I'd file it on gdesklets to start with.

GoingEasy9,

Would you mind to file bug to Bugzilla (http://bugz.fedoraproject.org/gdesklets) as suggested by AdamW? Could you also list which desklets you use? Thanks.

Thanks For the response, I bookmarked the gdesklet bugzilla, I'll file it today.
I only use the gdesklet-goodweather.

gdesklet-daemon, tiling module, gtk_tooltips????
I have to go write Forth code today in DOS, geez, this stuff used to be simple....

There is no longer need to file report. The issue is addressed, it is due to tile module method incompatibility with python 2.6. It turned out the patch was not applied on then Rawhide F12 compared to Fedora 11 . The new build (http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=138970) is available and should be pushed tonight. Let me know if gdesklets works for you.

Thanks Finalzone, I only just got home, so, didn't file it yet. I'll update tonight and let you know.

finalzone: builds sent through via the normal process right now do not go to the F12 repositories, they go into updates-candidates. The maintainer has to file a tag request ticket with releng to have it pushed into the F12 final tree. I've mailed Luya to ask for this.

Well, if not tonight, I'll keep watching it.
I just realized there is a weather icon that appears when you fill in the location in the Date/Time applet at the top right of the screen. LOL, I thought this was something new in F12, although the weather icon disappeared about a week ago from the F12 Date/Time applet. Clock 2.26-3 it's called on F11, the Help screen doesn't even mention weather. Will check the F12 version when that computer is free.
By now you must realize that I'm obsessed with weather icons and applets...lol...looking out the window doesn't do anything for me unless I confirm it on my monitor.
OK, on F12 Clock 2.28-0's help screen doesn't have instructions for the weather either.
Seriously, since my programming abilities are so 1980's maybe I can help rewriting Help screens etc. Guess I'll send some emails to the writers, I've got to start somewhere.

OK, back to work

Edit: found out how to make weather icon reappear. A "set" box appears after editing if you pass the mouse over the location (bottom of clock window after left click) and by authenticating by inputting the users password, not the root password. This is pretty well hidden, my son discovered it while playing around with it. Documentation needs to be updated.
