I have noticed while testing alpha and beta on the setup process in the partition phase I would error out. I use a compaq laptop with the sd reader. a few fedoras back i started to put my swap file on a 8 gb high speed sd card. All was well until fc12 this may be a feature or an issue but the install process mounts the sd card as read only, thus cause a partition error and fault. I have since removed said card and my partition setups work like a charm with the swap on the hard drive. Just something I noticed

Have you checked the integrity of the SD card? Flash-based memory only has a limited number of writes, and if you were using it as swap it's quite possible you've exceeded it so parts of the card have started dying.

card is good... sorry forgot to mention the setup process mounts in read only.. upon the partition phase using any part of the sd card as part of the install partition errors it out.. also finite writes on a sd was new info so, i may not use this method again, is this the same tech in a flash drive?? If so the turbo flash for vista and 7 will have impending doom. On a positive note my sd swap never got used under any of the fedora's, ram was always enough fc12 more so have yet to crack the 1 gig mark(out of 4), kudos to the programmers.

That sounds like a bug in Anaconda then - do other flash-based devices (USB keys) mount in read-only as well? If you have an external disk, it would be useful to test that as well so you can include more info in a bug report for the Anaconda developers.
