I'm trying to uses xine with totem (F12) and when I try:
# totem-backend -b xine
I get "program not found".
Does F12 handle this differently than previous versions?

I believe the totem-xine backend has been deprecated and dropped from F12.

Hi,

http://docs.fedoraproject.org/release-notes/f12/en-US/html/sect-Release_Notes-Changes_in_Fedora_for_Desktop_Users.html#sect-Release_Notes-Fedora_Desktop

Bastien Nocera, totem maintainer has dropped it upstream

I'm trying to uses xine with totem (F12)

Totem-gsteramer with gsteramer-plugins and gstreamer-ffmpeg work's fine

Why may be needed xine-backend?

totem gstreamer doesn't handle DVD menus correctly for me. Xine does.

Did you try with the latest Rawhide? If so, please file a bug report at http://bugz.fedoraproject.org/totem
