I have a netbook (Asus EEE 1002HA) with an Intel Atom chip, so I'm assuming Fedora 12 should run noticeably faster on my netbook, correct?

I want to upgrade to Fedora 12 without having to do a complete reinstall. How would I do this?

I also have dual boot on there with Windows XP and don't want that touched.

Hello,
First I want to say that f12 is still in beta, but if you want to try it you can go System>Administration>SoftwareSources and tick the rawhide box. There will be allot of updates to do.

EDIT: Make sure to back up your data first.
best of luck

I'm going to do this when it's out in Nov. not with the beta now. Just pre-preparing. Will the steps be the same?

The recommended way to upgrade between releases is to either use PreUpgrade:

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PreUpgrade

or download the full F12 image and do an upgrade install. You _can_ upgrade via yum, but it's not officially supported. See: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upgrading_Fedora_using_yum .
