Hi friends,
In my fedora 11 i've seen that totem plays audio only in the first file and no audio comes for any subsequent file. Example if i queue 3 videos then only the first one has sound coming out of the speakers and any other file played later (by clicking next button ow waiting for this video to finish) has no sound coming out of the speakers, though totem behaves as if nothing has happened and keeps playing the video. Its volume is also normal.
Anyone has any idea what may be wrong or does anyone have similar problem.
Thanks

It might be related to: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=488532#c64

Thanks. I had looked into that before. However i feel my problem is somewhat different.
1 > The volume shown by totem does not change as reported in the bug. The player keeps showing the same volume as before
2 > No matter how much i change the volume after finishing the first item in the playlist, i cannot get totem to give out any sound.
So if anyone is having similar problems in F12 i'd like to know.

I'm not, but then I don't remember getting a problem like that in F11, either. Are other media players affected, or just Totem?

If I play an mp3 file in totem the first works fine. If I start another without closing totem it does not play.
If I close totem and restart then the file plays. No problem with queing and playing multiple files in xmms.
Fedora 12 beta, fully updated.

hmm, interesting. just noticed you're using totem, I was reading rhythmbox for some reason. Let me try it here...

hum - I seem to have something similar here. It seems like it 'sticks' at the start of the new song, but if I switch back and forth between the Totem window and another window a few times, the new song will start playing. Same for you?

actually it's not window switching, you just have to wait - a minute or so, then it starts playing. strange. i'm trying to talk to Bastien about it atm.

yes, sorry, I kept meaning to update this thread and forgot! I did talk to Bastien and, as your post indicates, he told me it was a known bug and fixed in a pending update. all's well that ends well :)
