View Full Version : Eject audio CD issue

To check out whether sound was working on the F12 beta, I tried to pull up a live radio feed, the choices were windows media or realplayer, and the default players didn't work for either option.

So I put in an audio CD, and that played just fine. Then when I went to eject the CD - from the player or right-clicking on the icon and selecting 'eject' -- the tray opened and then closed again immediately, too fast for me to pull out the CD ! So then of course it pulled up the screen asking if I wanted to open the player, etc. Tried eject again, from the 'do you want to open the player' screen, and the same thing happened. It's crazy.

So I selected 'unmount' from the icon and manually opened the tray to grab the CD before I restarted. Is that a bug? Anyone else tried it?

I decided to search bugzilla and found this:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=453095

It's been an issue since Fedora 9! Sheesh.

At least on my box, this has been resolved in F11. It's pretty sad if it reappeared in F12.
