Wow. This is a new experience. After a while I got messy letters in te browser and in menu and like. What can cause this. After reboot all went back normal, but after fifteen minutes it goes mesy again. ???

Hi,
First step would be try booting with "nomodeset". File a bug report in http://bugzilla.redhat.com with your hardware details.

What I do wrong in kernels directory
wget http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/kernel/2.6.31.5/105.fc12/src/kernel-2.6.31.5-105.fc12.src.rpm
yum-builddep kernel-2.6.31.5-105.fc12.src.rpm
rpm -Uvh kernel-2.6.31.5-105.fc12.src.rpm
But it states mockbuild does not exist? It seems install but it is not shown in boot? Cheers.

you downloaded the .src.rpm, which is not what you want. to do a manual kernel update you should get kernel-2.x and kernel-devel-2.x and kernel-headers-2.x for your arch, and the kernel-firmware-2.x from noarch. then do:
rpm -Uvh kernel-firmware-whatever kernel-headers-whatever
rpm -ivh kernel-whatever kernel-devel-whatever
and you should be good to go.

I also had corrupted fonts on a T41 with RV250, and have a report from another user with a T42p with RV350. In both cases the -105 kernel build solved that problem.
Having said that, I still have loads of other graphics problems, including a corruption issue on resume from suspend.
See here for a writeup of the status of F12 beta on a T41
