Boot F11 Live CD - Mount F11 Live USB

I have successfully built an F11 USB device. However some of the systems I need to work with cannot boot off a thumb drive. I need to boot off a CD and mount the file system on the thumb drive so I can take advantage of persistent data.

My Google-Fu has failed me. Any links / suggestions to point me in the right direction?

Build your own boot-cd and edit the boot options of isolinux. Use the Fedora-Live-CD as template.
