I can't seem to get the scanner function my HP PSC 1210 multifunction to function.
when I run sane, or gimp to aquire it pulls up my tv tuner
/dev/video0
.. the device for the scanner doesnt seem to exist.
now, since the tv tuner is functioning as a device that's available. is there software I can install to so I can watch tv thru it?

Melio,
Maybe this thread could be of relevance to you?

There is also the program `xawtv`. It should be installed by default, otherwise get it off the CDs.

Install the package "xawtv-tv-fonts" from CD#3/yum.
Check that "Load "v4l"" is in the modules section of /etc/X11/XF86Config.
Also, you could try running it as either:
`xawtv -noxv`
--or--
`xawtv -c /dev/video0`.
If that doesn't work, try upgrading to version 3.90 available from Dag's repo: http://dag.wieers.com/packages/xawtv/
Another program many people seem to like is tvtime also available at Dag.
