Are we going to have to put up with rubbish 'Beta' versions of Firefox and Thunderbird in Fedora 12 again like we had in Fedora 11 ??
There may already be a post about this but i cant find any reference so if you could guide my then thank you :)

I have NO inside information, however.... Fedora = Testing Distro = lots of the 'latest', including betas. I presume you know you can download and use the stable versions if that does happen.

That said, let me check the Project pages to see if there's references on the subject.

i dont think they'll package Firefox3.6 or 3.7 in F12 . though it may come in as an update once released. i cant see Firefox3.6 or .7 being released till early 2010. for Thunderbird3.0.0.b4 will go into F12 as its pretty close to being final the final will be applied as an update when released. your not forced to use " beta " software if you dont want to but bare in mind Fedora is a testing distribution for RHEL

Thanks Bob and Demz,i see what you are saying and i know Fedora is a kinda testing ground, but it would be nice to keep it as a testing ground for just 'Fedora' and not 'Mozilla' there are people out there that lust after the latest Firefox beta's and so let them test the product.
For me the best Fedora was '10' everything worked but when i went to '11' everything worked EXCEPT my browser and email as they were beta, now i know you can put stable versions on BUT the hassle they cause by certain parts not interacting, like T'birds links not firing up FF and it does not matter how many forums i looked on the subject it does not work along with other parts that are to long to list here.
Some will say 'Well use another browser' but i LIKE 'Firefox' and 'Thunderbird' for email, and whilst it is all FREE and i should not be moaning i just want those 2 items to work so at least i can communicate and email any problems should they arise and not depend on my 2nd machine still running Fed10.
It's just that i saw this that made me think 'Oh no'

Thanks guys and sorry for the moaning on what is a good OS :D

Wellll.... the whole thing is to test new software, including things that really aren't Fedora per se, such as pulse audio.

Unfortunately, many of the bugs found in FF/TB will have to be reported upstream, that is, to mozilla.

wrong scott. anyone can still file bugs in redhat bugzilla against pulseaudio in redhat bugzilla . it still gets to the pulseaudio developer(s) .. though im sure i heard once Redhat does have a Mozilla Dev so filing bugs against firefox in redhat bugzilla will still get to the firefox devs eventually?

I'd still prefer to file Tbird and FF bugs directly with Mozilla.
