Maybe a dumb question, but my I use my lenovo t61 on three different configs, laptop lcd, or laptop+external on right, or laptop + external on left. Whats messed up is that when bios boots up the external monitor is always treated as the primary and the laptop lcd gets turned off, in this mode I cant start runlevel 5 and dock/undock/change monitor cables does not bring the display back on the laptop.
I was estatic to stop using the nvidia propriatary driver, but no matter how the laptop booted up, the laptop display was always primary and enabled regardless of the boot up. Any ideas ??? Also, since xorg.conf seems to be an internal file now, how can i have it auto switch configs for me on boot depending on monitor ids? (The winblows thinkvantage stuff does this)
