Ok... This is going to sound crazy, but my cd-rom drives are reporting as /dev/hdd and /dev/hdc instead of /dev/cdrom1 and /dev/cdrom as before... This problem just started happening in the last few weeks (I have been running the system pretty much unchanged for a few months now, no new software, hardware, etc) The only thing I have done is shut down the system for the past two hurricanes and pack up.
Does anyone have any ideas that could help get my cd-roms working again (or files/command output that would at least get me on the right track)?
