A new yum did not help.
i went through the rpmdb rebuild web page @ rpm.org.
The was no errors.

I finally shutdown after a reboot without doing anything.
The ext4 scan showed 3 breaks, 0 lost on one f/s.
This is probably the free space not being unallocated correctly, yet again.
I have the newest e2fsprogs-1.41.9-2.fc12.i686, too.

This occurred 3 times trying to get the compliers installed with rpm.

Today's updates went ok, reboot had no breaks on ext4.

Lastly, the file systems are growing by a few MB each update. A bit too much grow for updates.

The reboot for today's update faile at gdm logon.
The system needed a selinux relabel
touch ./autorelabel

Next reboot came up but there was some avc denied for modprobe initrc and such still.
I was in the process of making a post when the system hung up.

It seems that a bad mouse click in VBox will freeze (crash) it easily.
Yes, I have additions installed.
