View Full Version : Fedora 11 DVD and live usb won't let me install on my IDE drive

I have a server with a bunch of SATA drives and one IDE controller. The IDE drive is what has the root file system. It's been running fedora 10 pretty well for a long time. I decided to try 11 out.

When I boot with either the live usb or the dvd, anaconda doesn't give me an option to install/upgrade my existing system on the IDE drive.

When I drop into a rescue shell and do fdisk -l, it shows up as something weird (not /dev/sdx) which wasn't an option for the upgrade.

Booting the FC10 install DVD does not have the same issue.
