Hello:

I am trying to do a network install of Fedora 11, using an anonymous FTP server on our local network. I placed the contents of the DVD on our FTP server. I boot up the network installation CD, and just after I put in the URL, it begins to read the installation source files from our FTP server and at 54% it errors out with "Unable to retrieve the install image". I am booting from the CD burned from "Fedora-11-i386-netinst.iso", using the "askmethod" parameter so that it prompts for the installation source location. I verified from the FTP logs that it is downloading install.img from the FTP server OK. I thought maybe the install.img file was corrupt, however I did a checksum on the ISO and it is OK, and I've recopied the file from the DVD and still have the same issue.

I have done this successfully in the past with other Fedora versions. Is there an issue with Fedora 11, and if so does anybody know of a workaround or solution?

Thanks in advance!

I was able to install OK directly from the DVD and never figured out why I can't install from the network. Hopefully this is fixed eventually, as doing a network install is pretty convenient. Thanks......
