Hi everyone,
I'm attempting to install Fedora Core2 on my AMD 64 system, but when it gets to installing the packages and the OS itself, it freezes. The only way to keep it moving and installing is by moving the mouse continuously.
When i let go of the mouse, the hard drive activity light stops, and nothing transfers.. when i start moving the mouse again, the light comes back on, and it continues to copy.

Is this a known issue, if so, what can I do to remedy it? I'm not gonna sit here moving the mouse like an idiot while it installs lol.

Thanks in advance :)

You might try appending acpi=off to the grub boot line for the kernel. That's recommended for hanging systems in the FC2 x86_64 FAQ.
