Hi there,
<br><br>
I made a minimal installation. After testing the hardware, I've decided to install the whole system,... but I don't know how to run anaconda in order to continue the installation, and the yum remote installation of system-config-packages requires to ask the ftp for the whole Gnome. I'd like to use the CD rom again, but I don't know how to do it.

Thanx!<br>

You could boot from cd and reinstall as you would normally on a clean system, i mean by the sounds of it there isnt anything on it to loose, so it would be just as easy.

Hope this helps.

Anaconda is the installer, so you have to boot it again. You may want to try an upgrade instead of a full install.

A note about formatting posts: line break tags are not needed. You do have vB code (http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/misc.php?s=&action=bbcode) however.

I'm sorry, but it is not a good thing, from my point of view.

Somebody suggested me to YUM a local repository of rpm, ... but I don't have space to waste.

I was going to be a SuSE "defector", but I think yast is a nice thing since it works in graphical and command line, and allows to go on with the installation. I just can't believe that Fedora can't do it. There must be a way to do it.

System-config-packages should not ask for gtk and a $display. Fedora is forgetting old machine support in favour of the "geForce" desktop.

{angry} sorry

There is a Icon called Add/Remove Application . Click on it. It is under System in the RedHat-Menu.

There are no icons in the command line.

My english must be very bad if you have not understood that I'm stuck at the minimal installation with no X.
