I have a Toshiba Satellite a305d-s6848. It has a RS690M [Radeon X1200 Series] ATI Graphics card. I have tried to research on my own and just ended up getting more lost. I read a forum reply over at linuxquestions sayin that amd has there support for linux now but there wasnt anything for the Radeon X1200 Series. Can someone point me in the right direction? I am also runnin F11 if that makes a difference. I already have compiz-fusion and WoW installed and runnin WoW is when I really realized that I need the drivers. lol. Thank you all in advanced.

On the up side amd really is trying to help the opensource community develop fully functional drivers for it's ati video cards. Hopefully, that will mean opensource drivers for ati cards in the near future. They can't just dump the source at us due to non-disclosure agreements.

This does kinda suck but like LeadGolem said they are actually helping out the open source community. Even M$ is contributing but of course it seems to be self beneficial for them but atleast we are seeing the impossible happen right before our eyes. I am gonna research a little before even thinkin about installing the radeohd driver. I just dont wanna end up worst then I started off. but thanks for the help and replys.
