Anyone done this on FC, and if so, how do you do it? I've done it on Windows, but never attempted it on FC. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You searched these forums, right? Hint: use the Google Forum search feature, not native vB search.

I have searched google a bit, but I want an answer from someone who actually has done it. Anyways, back on topic. Who all has done this and how hard is it? I run a game server on my spare computer, and the CPU get's very high when it's full and it lags the server. I'm thinking if I can get the CPU overclocked, it will run a little better.

OK, let me phrase that a different way: Refer: http://fedoraforum.org/?view=guideWhen Asking Questions
Read The Unofficial Fedora F.A.Q. (Frequently asked questions) and Search FedoraForum.org before asking questions. Search the Fedora mailing lists and give google a whirl as well. There's a good chance your question has been answered before. From your above posts, it appears that you have not done so, and/or are unwilling to do so. Please do so before proceeding.

Thank You in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Good Luck,
V

NOTHING that CLEARLY states whether it can be done and if it can, how you do it.

overclocking has almost nothing to do with the os.

do the overclocking in the bios, and just install some temperature monitoring software like lm_sensors, gkrellm, conky etc. and turn off cpuspeed.

i've done t with a q6600, pentium4ht, athlonxp-m 2600+.....
