Hello everyone,
this is my first post here and in general on a linux distro's forum. Please forgive my broken english in advance, as I hail from Italy ;) In addition, be warned that I am quite a linux newbie since I last seriously used it back in 1999 (!) and in the last ten years I've had no more contact with any form of it.

I am looking for some advice on making a custom live and/or installable cd. From what I've seen, adding and removing packages is quite easy, while I didn't find any information on setting up premade users, preconfiguring applications, premounting network folders and other "deep" customizations like those.

What I am trying to accomplish in the end is a Fedora based distro that will feature:

- KDE 4.2
- Firefox 3.0 (preconfigured to open with some specific tabs/web pages)
- Nojee (asterisk) plugin for Firefox
- OpenOffice 3.1
- Wine, with some preinstalled windows apps
- Pidgin
- X-Lite (sip client)
- Xvid/Divx codecs
- Some premounted network folders
- Some premade users, each one with a specific desktop background and desktop links to apps and folders

Any help, suggestion, or even a proposal to concretely help me making it as a retributed job, will be very appreciated!
Thanks in advance,

- Andrea

(hm.... maybe I should have posted in a more active subforum, I didn't notice the Live CD/Usb one only had 70 or so threads compared to the 5,000 - 6,000 of other subforums... can someone with administrative rights move it to, say, "General Support"? Thanks in advance...)
