I note that the rawhide image for 06-09-2009 is quite limited when it comes to partitioning during install. Entire disk, replace a linux system or free space. No custom. Is this the norm in rawhide? I don't recall it way back when I did an F11 rawhide install. I also really don't like it when I'm told the partitioner is about to write to disk without informing me specifically what it's going to do. That's a "No" reply from me, always.

The offical F11 iso are under Description here

I use the custom almost excursively, so I would be very upset too.
But I have not seen a missing Custom choice in the dropdown box?
What I have noted, from myself and other, is a not scrolling down or up to see more choices.

P.S. F11 rawhide does not exit any more. It is now F12

Hi SlowJet,
I was attempting to install the rawhide development iso from 06-09-2009. There's no custom partitioning choice and no scrolling to one. I did fail to mention that this is a text mode install because anaconda cannot start X even if I select the basic video driver for the install.. That's interesting too seeing that image.iso's I installed in the past never had this difficulty. Whatever, I guess I will drop on an install of F11 on this test box and switch to the rawhide repo. Thanks!

First try the boot.iso for development.
it will save you a couple of GB's of updates.

Don't forget to scroll down. :)

I think we maybe have some miscommunication here. The development boot.iso is what I have been attempting to use. I was trying to install the boot.iso dated 06-09-2009. This morning I downloaded the boot.iso for 06-13-2009. I get the same results. I have nvidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 video. The installer only allows me to install in text mode. It won't even allow me the gui using the vesa driver. In text mode I am limited to these partitioning choices: Entire disk, Replace a linux system, free space. That's it. There are no other choices to scroll down too. I already have other stuff on this box and I do not want to use the entire disk, replace anything or use all the free space but I'm given no option to clue in the installer as to what I want.

Well, according to the anaconda log
The f12 version is 6 updates behind the F11 GA release.
I have noted a copule of other F11 packages that are newer than F12 when doing an rpm update also.
I would guess it is just the delay in the meetings time, the weekend, and the mad GA push along with F11 updates.
I has only been 5 days.
