Hi,
I have problems with fedora not displaying anything on my screen when i use my Radeon HD 3850. When i use the intergrated chipset of the motherboard (radeon HD 3200) it works. I installed the drivers from the ATi/AMD site, but still no result. How can I fix this problem?
Thanks,
Niels

When booting up keep on mashing tab,
Push' a' to modify kernel arguements,
tyoe in "xdriver=vesa".
Itll let you see beautiful light again.
ATi doesnt support drivers outside of SLED and RHEL.
Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE, Mandriva etc dont play well with ATi drivers compared to nVidia.
Even Sabayon has the FGLRX problem.
The opensource ATi stack in Fedora 11 supports the newer cards but it has trouble with the ATi SATA controller. (I have a 780G Board)
Vesa works fine for 2D if you have a dual core proc and at-least 1Gig otherwise you might wanna look at alternatives.
