HI - I was just trawling the web last night trying to find methods of getting asterisk to play with Fedora Directory Server.....and I found the following:

http://www.freeipa.org/

It has nothing to do with Free Beer (although it's close as to which is better!!!)

FreeIPA is an implementation of BIND, Fedora Directory Server, Kerberos and loads of other cool stuff......

Having fought with a few FDS installs now I was really surprised when it all worked straight away as a scripted install on F10....

This is still in it's early days, but it makes a kerberos/LDAP setup extremely easy to carry out, has a web based gui after the install (no more breaking LDAP with a badly written ldif file!!!!)

I searched the forums and couldn't find anything about it so thought I';d share, as this seems to be the best kept secret I've found for ages!!!

:D

I have been looking for something like this. Thanks for the post, I plan to set up a test network and try this out.

Thanks again

Just flattened the FDS I was running at home last night to test drive it, and so far so good :) It's a really easy scripted install that asks a few questions and then just works....

I've just been digging around in the installed components and all seems to be very well written....
