Is there a Fedora release that will run via live CD on a P2 66 Laptop with 128meg of ram?

Hi
I once had FC3 running on a similar spec laptop - but I don't think a live CD would work.

I had to use IceWindowManager and lots of text apps to make it usable.

You could try DamnSmall Linux or Puppy Linux or DeliLinux - Damn Small is designed to be run as a Live CD

Hope this helps

I would go with Knoppix 3 to 4.

Else an old Red Hat that you could probably download,
else find a 'used' Red Hat book that has an old version.

good suggestions, it depends what you need., if you just want basic apps like a browser, mediaplayer then http://www.xpud.org/ is only 48mb and runs as a live cd.

Otherwise there is also http://www.slax.org/, which is pretty compressed but can be easily customised by adding extra modules.
