Hi..
I have installed Fedora 7 and when I try to use my Micronet ADSL modem Router, it is not recognizing. Router manual does not contain anything about linux drivers. Please guide me on this issue. Im linux newbie.

Thanks!!

Why did you install Fedora 7, which is long after its end of life? Most recent version is Fedora 10, with Fedora 11 due out in less than 2 months.
Also, is that an usb modem? If so it might be just unsupported, or you might need external firmware.

Thanks for the reply..:) Yes it is USB + RJ45. Can u pls tel me how to get an external firmware?

So you're really convinced you want to use fedora 7? Ok...

So, first of all we need to determine which firmware you need, if any. Mind that your modem might just be unsupported.

Can you please post the results of lsusb and dmesg commands in a terminal? (do it with the modem connected to usb)

Not exactly, I am in a bit urgency to use a non windows os. So surely i will go for latest fedora versions. For the time being i need to configure my modem.

Following are the details.
