Are there any good free rpg's or mmorpg's for linux? I think that Planeshift (http://www.planeshift.it) has a linux version but I was looking for something else

Planeshift is the only mmorpg that has a linux client that I know of. I must say I'm a long time fan of the planeshift idea, and I'm very impressed by the progress they've made. The next release, crystal blue, will be amazing. I tried building it from cvs a month or so ago and it looked good.
The engine is open source too, so there's really no reason not to like this game.

The Eternal Lands (http://www.eternal-lands.com/) MMORPG isn't quite as pretty, and still is in late beta, but is enjoyable nonetheless. It's in the dries repository (http://dries.studentenweb.org/apt/).

Cube is a fist person shooter (fps). Very different from a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (mmorpg). Think Doom (fps) versus Ultima Online (mmorpg).

yeah well my old ram disk went bad and i have a new one now and its not as good im not so sure my pc will run fast enough in linux to play anysort of online game especialy a 3d one for now i will have to make like everyone else and use windows (btw the only reason xp is as "great" as it is is because they took some stuff from unix/linux) sigh if only everyone used linux i mean there are hardly any games out there for linux (not that most of us linux users are gamers anyway)
