View Full Version : Gnome terminal tabs have wrong focus

After applying all of the recent updates, my gnome terminal is acting strange. If I open a new terminal and type in it, the focus is fine. Now I open a new tab in the terminal and focus is still OK. But, if I select the first tab again and try typing something, the text is actually placed on the second, not displayed, tab.

I noticed something similar happening in X-Chat Gnome as well.

I wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this before logging a bug.

You're not alone. I saw a similar report on Planet Fedora - http://rawhidewatch.wordpress.com/2009/03/30/broken-typing-in-tabs-and-firefox/

This was broken by ibus-1.1.0.20090311-3.fc11 in Bug #492956 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=492956). Try the latest build of ibus (http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/ibus/1.1.0.20090331/1.fc11/).

Thank you very much. The latest ibus has fixed the problem.
