rawhide upgrade

im trying to upgrade to fedora 11 with the yum upgrade command but i get this error

audit-libs-python-1.7.12-3.fc10.i386 from installed has depsolving problems

all of the "missing" dependencys are all install
any ideas??

Here's something to think about. I've seen yum errors for a long time now. I've finally decided that what the errors are telling us, for example, in the case of this one,
Error: Missing Dependency: python(abi) = 2.5 is needed by package audit-libs-python-1.7.12-3.fc10.i386 (installed)
is that if yum was allowed to continue then python(abi) would be removed but it is NEEDED by audit-libs-python so we will not continue. Apply this to the other error messages and you get a better understanding of what yum is telling you. Don't take this a the last word. It's just my interpretation of the somewhat cryptic error messages that I've been staring at for several years now. One day I finally decided to try to make some sense out of them and this is the result.

Here's another, interpreted by me.
Error: Missing Dependency: libpoppler-glib.so.3 is needed by package 2:gimp-2.6.6-1.fc10.i386 (updates-testing)
libpoppoer-glib.so.3 will be removed if we continue to do what you are trying to do but it's needed by gimp-2.4.4-1.fc10.i386 so it's time to stop right there.

Now, if I'm wrong I hope that someone else jumps right in here and tells me so, honest.

You know, I paid no attention the the word upgrade. It would be far better and much less painless to download the Alpha DVD and install F11 with that. I have one successful install on a desktop PC. No such luck on the laptop. Upgrades are notoriously shaky.
