Snagged the 4 disks yesterday and I'm anxious to give fc2 a try but I don't want to lose my net access. If I recompile the nforce src drivers will it enable my onboard ethernet like it did for fc1? I've had no video problems as my vga is onboard also and the nforce drivers worked fine for that. Also will I have the option to boot from the kernal I'm using now or is it completely reworked. Thanks!

I am running FC2 final on a Asus nForce 2 motherboard (A7NX8 Deluxe) Both Nics are installed and I have net access, I am using the 3com Nic for connecting. I have noticed only activating the nic you want to use helps.

nForce2 Based A7N8X Dlx Rev 2.0
nForce2 NIC enabled in BIOS (3COM disabled). FC2 detected the NIC automatically and works without issue.

No I am using PATA, and I have also installed an Adaptec SCSI and 2 drives I had sitting around. Everything is playing nicely though :)

The 2.6 kernel has the forcedeth drivers included with it. I'm using the nForce LAN and it worked straight from the install. When I was running Mandrake 9.2, (kernel-2.4.22-mdk), it didn't work initially, but even then, all I had to do was install the drivers from the src.RPM on nvidia's website.
