F10 in X lose monitor resolution

Every time when i log in X my desktop is losing monitor resolution.
Resolution is reset in 800 x 600 / 60Hz mode
In monitor resolution setting disappeared all mode above then 800x600
BUT
If i chose System -> Log out, and Log on again Resolution set back in correct mode 1280 x 1024 / 85Hz
I have no idea what to do to fix it

This is a problem I've had with the desktop resizer as well. Here is a solution that was given to me. I've been using it since and never had the headaches again.

Run system-config-display

if you don't have it, just install it

yum install system-config-display

/etc/X11/xorg.conf is where the actual text configuration file is located to manage X Windows.

Old fashioned way. Try it.
