I feel pretty psyched about all the progress i made today. i worked on setting up my ldap today and though i am not finished yet i have gotten ldap service to start and i have partially finished my directory. i may not have left the house other than to get food, smokes and beer, but i feel it was a good day. i figgured i spent enough time in the tech side of this forum i should get to know the people. so lets have at it. :)

Fathers Day here in Australia, got up at 11:30, coffee, smoke, gifts, web. :)
Bulding a couple of PC based routers for work (yes, Sunday!), to link a few networks for testing a new product. Using http://www.freesco.org - so far so good.
Also running my weekly server backups, damn I need a DVD burner!!! Jocks, Socks and A Fire Extinguisher for my car is all I got!

I just got out of bed. :) I have a day off today - so I'm not going to do much.
Then I'm working in a supermarket Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday for a total of 47 hours this week.

It's now 1:23:11 PM (CDT) and I'm just finishing my second cup of coffee after sleeping 'til 11 AM. Fortunately, in the US, this is a 3-day weekend and I need the extra day to recover from the previous 6 weeks of panic-driven development and debugging. (Don't ask.)
Slight edit: I haven't done anything today, except log on here - and I don't plan to do a damn thing either, except sit around and do nohting.

Today I have installed FC1 on a pentium1@233mhz 64sdram, only my mouse isn't working properly.
But that is something for tomorrow. Have to work in 5 hours, so I want to get some sleep now.
Damn time is going fast when your having fun!

I spent the past two days in boxers. I left the house only to step in the backyard and grill some kickass ribeyes today. Last thursday I took a week off of work and I plan to occomplish nothing truely productive during this time frame.

I did get a pizza yesterday and watched "Major League." Tonight was "Hit Night" with "The Whole Nine Yards" (Matthew Perry is a very, very good physical comic actor!) and "Grosse Point Blank" (we just love John Cusak movies).

I'm going to the University of Nottingham (http://www.nottingham.ac.uk) (one of the best in the UK - I'll have you know :p) to study for a BA Hons in Politics.

Wow, was expecting computer science! Good luck with that - college rocks! I'm hoping to get to do some postgraduate work in England next year, all going well.

I couldn't possibly do Computer Science, it would bore me to death.

I've noticed that an awful lot of the 'real' computer people do something completely different for a living and then somehow attach on IT later! I stuck by the edges - doing engineering so I get to play with a bit os software and hardware but I get lots of other cool toys too!

There is no way I'll do computing. I just couldn't face it. ;)
