hey All

if anyone knows, has Empathy been decided not to be in Fedora11 as default? its no longer mentioned on the feature list, does that mean its still not ready for prime time?

Perhaps they wait for Gnome 2.26 to go gold ? In a ~/week or so IIRC

Besides, changing default IM client every 6 months isn't something to go crazy about...

by the looks of it they have decided to drop it from being default. if you look at the Empathy RoadMap (http://live.gnome.org/Empathy/Roadmap) things didnt get done in 2.26 which is pushed back to 2.28. to me its just a useless Project, i think Pidgin will have Proper Voice an Cam support before Empathy does

http://developer.pidgin.im/milestone/Voice%20and%20Video%20Support an in Pidgin2.6.0 ewe should see much needed feature improvement still where as Empathy will still lack in

Perhaps. I'm still waiting for Pidgin 2.5.5 to hit the updates, but it looks like it won't catch the next wave. :(
