Is there any news of the SHA for the alpha release.
Release notes say it is being worked on.
My installation didn't work and I don't know if it is the DVD or the installer.

Hi,
It is being worked on for *future* releases. There is no plan to resign existing content. If you are more specific on what did not work, others might be able to help you.

From Release notes:
"No GPG signatures
The Fedora 11 Alpha release is not GPG-signed. The release engineering team is working on upgrades to the build system to add support for SHA-256 signatures. Once those upgrades are done, the test releases that follow will be GPG-signed. "
I assumed that there would be a re-release of F11 alpha with signing. Or is the next test release the F12alpha?. It is isn't clear from the note.
Regarding my problem the login screen doesn't show any users though it is an upgrade and should see the old names. So I am wondering if I should start the install/upgrade again or if the problem is the Download. I have had some help on the problem so the question here is whether to do the install again.
Ralph.

Hi,
No, there won't be a re-release and I have already clarified that. The note is pretty clear actually. The test releases that *follow* will be signed. You should try a fresh installation instead of a upgrade.

It isn't totally clear especially to someone not an upgrade junkie or insider. But your first post was clear it just doesn't tie up with other docs.
In releases/schedule it says "Test users should continue to file bug reports against each test release even after we have frozen for the next test release; all feedback is helpful. After Beta release, weekly snapshots will be attempted each Friday. "
Implying that there are several test releases before a beta.
Hopefully we can ignore this here and someone from documentation may read the comment.
The important question is the install/upgrade distinction is meaningless if the DVD I made is not good. Can someone tell me if I probably have a good DVD as I got so far in the process and I just had a one off problem in the install from the DVD?.

Hi,
Yes, there are several test releases. Alpha, Beta and weekly snapshots after Beta. Sometimes there are intermediate test releases in between alpha and beta as well but not widely advertised. If you want to verify the ISO, try syncing the copy from bittorrent. Torrent autoverifies everything

For Information : Problem with being unable to log on (post 3) was due to SELinux being set enforcing. If set to permissive it is OK with relabel.
