Greetings Everyone:
I have noticed in the quite recent past, that Fedora 11 went from openoffice.org-3.0.1? to openoffice.org-3.1.0.
I am curious if Fedora 11 will also go from squid-3.0? to squid-3.1.0.5?
If not, why not?
Thank for the information and help....

There is actually a 3.1 release (http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoRelease31) of OOo. I don't think that Fedora will call something 3.1 if it doesn't exist upstream.

3.1 of squid may get into the Beta of fedora10 but it depends how late 3.1 beta development started . it may get into the beta of F11

I know that OOo is at 3.1, what I was asking about is squid?
I know that FedoraProject likes to be on the bleeding edge of packages, but it always seems like they are lacking on squid. What is up???
Thanks again,

As Squid isn't a crucial part of Fedora, really, it's more or less up to the maintainer to choose what he thinks is best to package.

your probably best to file it in bugzilla as a RFE

I agree that it is not a critical part of the mainstream distro, but since I also use a customized install for my server at home from the latest version of Fedora. It would be nice to also have the bleeding edge software in this area also!
Thanks,
