I know someone has to be playing with this new feature...I can't possibly be the only person in the world that wants to use evolution instead of crossfire and outlook

Anybody have a chance to look at this feature? I have been waiting for this for a while, but I do not have a spare system to try rawhide on right now.

I installed openchange.
I created a test account in evolution using one of my email aliases of my isp.
I don't know what my isp's mail status is because nothing works for my aliases.
And now the main email account on TB on a WinXp is not working either.
However, the account tried to do something and I saw it blinking the gateway.
The evolution addins window had imap but nothing specific when I selected it.
There is no help or man page.
The current pkgs are dated Feb 27th in the rawhide repo.
you can read this from the test list

Yes, I have samba4 installed, not configured, and the log files about the samba4 dep can be interrupted both ways as to wheather it is needed or not for openchange.

I doubt your ISP is allowing MAPI access to their mail servers, it's probably just pop and smtp. To test it you'll probably have to be in a corp environment with a full blown exchange deployment.
I suppose I will have to test it on some hardware around here.

I have tried connecting to our Exchange 2007 server (university). I did not make any configuratioun changes to Samba4. I was unable to authenticate or set-up an account.

Are you using this (the latest version)? What shows in the imap plug in right panel?)
Are you using samba4 as >= win2k DC (member of realm of university?) or still as Win4nt PDC
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=94328
Most of the stuff on the www are still behind the curve when it come to samba4 and are still using it as Win4nt PDC, BDC and win4nt auth.
Also, imap can be used across the net if the host network allows that type of account.
Some users can get it automatically, other have to sell their first born and beg.

Hi
Are you using this (the latest version)?
Tried 2.25.92 from rawhide and 2.26.0 today from koji (thanks for the link).
What shows in the imap plug in right panel?)
IMAP Features Author Sankar P Description: etc
Also, imap can be used across the net if the host network allows that type of account.
Can Imap in 2.24.5, 2,25.92 and 2.26.0. Agreed that is lucky.(won't have to give away that first born :)
Most of the stuff on the www are still behind the curve when it come to samba4 and are still using it as Win4nt PDC, BDC and win4nt auth.
That might be the problem as I have not made any Samb4 configuration changes except to install the rpms. Samba config is never a favorite with me but I'll be happy to try anything you suggest.
Cheers

Well, I think you are good to go.
I was only trying to figure out if you were a separate sub-net of the uni, your own domain trying to go thru the uni or a uni client.
I think you are a uni client (and possibly with you own local domain. Yes, NO?)
