Where do I install TTF fonts in FC2?

Before, in RH9 & FC1, I would simply copy all the .ttf font files from my Windows partition to the following directory:
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF

I did a new install for FC2 and then copied those .ttf fonts into that same directory. This time however those fonts still are unavailable. Are the fonts in a different place in FC2? Where do the TrueType fonts go in FC2?

and dump all the TTFs there. that's about it!
this feature has been available since RH8, but only now it affects all apps. at last!
