mail.myweb.com is not setup correctly to accept emails for myweb.com. If you are using sendmail, you need to add the domain name to file /etc/mail/local-host-names and restart the mail server.

This is what it said when i was at dnsexit.com and using their email troubleshooting program.

I am able to send emails out successfully but unable get emails in from another acct. I am following the qmailrocks tut. can someone point me in the right direction of things? I am pretty new to all of this still.

You have to tell your e-mail server that it's name is "mail.myweb.com" and that it's also "myweb.com"

ok I have to set that up in my qmail program or do I set that up in host name for the computer?

I am somewhat confused here with the host and that stuff since I am learning this as of now. everything I have read as well about fqdn has not made total sense to me either :(.

thx in advance for the help.

You'll have to do a bit of messing around, but you can "fool" qmail into thinking it's the correct machine instead of using the hostname. It's been several years since I've done it, but I had the same problem and resolved it in this manner.
