One sought to reassure them by announcing that it was "not such a big deal" if the pilot was drunk because the aircraft practically flew itself.
Ya gotta love the PR spokesman... NOT!

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw sometime back in Times, can't find it anymore but the passenger of a low cost airline is being told by the clerk "...the pilot's extra."

Eh, I sometimes get my words muddled up... when I sober.
