Hang on fedora-logos-1.1.24 for FC1 -> FC2 upgrade

I am trying to upgrade from FC1 to FC2.

I go through the installation phase...
select english...
select update...
select update boot loader...
select upgrade (about to upgrade screen)...
click continue I have all 4 cds...
transfer install image... (progress bar)
prepare RPM transaction... (progress bar)
starting install process may take several minutes...
preparing to install... (progress bar)

the progress bar completes and goes away. Then "Installing fedora-logos-1.1.24-1.noarch (528 KB)" appears on the bottom and never changes and it has hanged there for approx a half hour now. I have the standard pointer and can click and read the Release Notes, but both the Back and Next arrows are unhighlighted.

I've repeated the install and gotten the same results three times.

Any ideas... is it having trouble copying the files

System Info:
Tyan(?) dual P3 933MHz
NVIDIA GF4 card 64MB
1.5GB RAM
3x HD (~40GB each) all ext3
1x CD-R
1x DVD-ROM

Did you md5 the isos you downloaded? Or run the check on the cds to see if they are OK? I always run the check the 1st time I use the cds just to make sure.

I checked the md5sum
verified the burned cds
and checked the cds via the installer...

all were okay.
