Just a quick note for other users that the ohci1394 module in the FC2 release is disabled. I gather from the dev-lists that this is due to major problems and presume they were not solved prior to release. However, arjanv's 2.6 kernels at http://people.redhat.com/arjanv/2.6/RPMS.kernel/
support firewire.

HTH.

And to avoid further problems:

# taken from readme.txt

Note:
I no longer build athlon kernels because in theory the 2.6 kernel now has a
mechanism to automatically runtime patch in these optimisations during boot

Note2:
ide-scsi is disabled. If you use cdrecord you need to use

cdrecord --dev=/dev/hdc

form from now on.

Note3:
/dev/psaux has been disabled since /dev/input/mice is the prefered device
now. This means you may have to fix your X configuration, but we need to
root out all users of it and the only way is to disable it for a while at least.
