Hi!
I am runing fc1 on hp compaq nx9005. Everything is working fine (I even decided to pay a few dolars for a modem driver:)). The only thing which is quite anoying is a laptop fan. It is workimg almost all the time on high speed. The /proc/acpi/fan directory is empty and I did not manage to control the fan until now. Is it worth to switch to fc2 since I read that acpi is better supported in 2.6. kernel?
The fan is working at high speed even if the temeperature of the CPU in less than 50 degrees.
Any experiences with that?
Maybe upgrading the kernel to 2.6. would be ok too?
What about upgrading to fc2? I have a dual boot with XP partition and I really would not like to install
windows garbage again:))
