That is the one, I just don't want to be tied to Windows with it, would be nice to get it working on Linux.

when cannon decides to MAKE linux drivers , but they wont even give out the tech specs. for there hardware so no drivers can be built by the community.
the canon drivers that are around have all been made by people on there own time.
so call them and COMPLAIN !!!

Not shure they would take the request too seriously since the unit is a few years old....However, my next printer/copier purchase will have the required software support. If they read the forum, maybe they will realize the potential revenue loss by there own decision not to support linux drivers.

Can we all get on board to see if Canon would support Linux drivers? If Canon cannot actually support the software due to a talent shortage, could someone help them? Please let them know, http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ContactCanonAct
