Opera web browser, OpenArena, and I fear many other applications that may touch the graphics card not to work, Why can't I enable desktop effects, or run these apps? I need help, I'm very pissed off.

well WHAT driver are you installing( the .rpm or the nvidia.run) , and WHAT version of fedora are you using ( fedora 10,9,8,7,...)
and WHAT do you mean by
touch the graphics card not to work
do they just not start or do they crash??
if you try to start them from the terminal WHAT error message do you get ?

So corruption in installation I can fix, I think that's what that is, and OpenArena fails getting opengl up and running. I used the RPM. and I was over exaggerating on the graphics thing, so don't worry about that.

/usr/lib/opera/9.63/opera: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
well you are missing libqt-mt.so.3
yum whatprovides libqt-mt.so.3
qt3-3.3.8b-14.fc9.i386 : The shared library for the Qt 3 GUI toolkit
Repo : updates-newkey
Matched from:
Other : libqt-mt.so.3
install qt3
ioQ3 1.34-rc4 linux-x86_64 Feb 20 2008
and from this i am guessing you have fedora 64 bit installed?????
would have been nice to know in the first post
if 64 bit then is there a link to the qt3 .so ( if installed) in the lib32 folder

do you have any SE warnings in "SELinux Troubleshooter " that point to "sdl"
/usr/share/opengl-games-utils/opengl-game-functions.sh: line 4: [: !=: unary operator expected
line #4 is
if [ `glxinfo | grep "direct rendering: " | head -n 1 | cut -d " " -f 3` != Yes ]; then
for some reason you do not have direct rendering turned on.
-------------
if you run this command the answer should be " yes"
glxinfo | grep "direct rendering"
direct rendering: Yes
and the version of kmod-nvndia.rpm is " 180.22"
rpm -qa | grep kmod-nvndia
also look in your /etc/x11/xorg.conf
and see if you are using the 3d " nvidia" driver or the 2d "nv" driver

....

xorg.conf is completely blank, and I just reinstalled completely cleaned out, and reinstalled the latest version on kmod-nvidia yesterday.
The only errors in SELinux regard Apache.

i am assuming you have fallowed the "how to " on installing the nvidia drivers
" F10 & F9 Nvidia driver guides"
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=204752
and fedora 10 has gotten ride of the xorg.conf ( but if you have one it will be used )
from the how to for direct rendering you MIGHT need to put this in it ( you will need to
Section "Files"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/nvidia"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
EndSection
and read post #3
"For GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9 & 200 series cards only "

Sorry for late reply, It worked perfectly fine, now Compiz and my game works! It's also slightly smoother with my graphics card fully integrated.
Thanks!
