Inspiron 5160 + FC 10 (Screen goes black as installation begins)

When I try to install the Fedora 10 the screen turns black right after the Blue "countdown" screen.

I'm afraid I can't help, but I've added to the thread title so that perhaps someone who knows about that machine might help. (Keep in mind that folks are busy, and the more time you can save them wtih a thread title, the better--it gives your thread more chance of being noticed.

Of course, don't go overboard and put the whole post in the title.) :)

Our, and by our I mean myself and a Mac loving friend think Fedora is missing the driver for the video contoller which is a XGI Volari XP5. I just can't have nice things.

I downloaded the whole DVD and this time it got a little further. I got to see Anaconda start before the screen turned black with different random color lines.

I am also getting the same result when trying to install Fedora 10 on my HP Proliant ML110 G4. Anyone having any luck with troubleshooting ?

I get the same thing on my HP proliant DL140. I get the media verification screen, but past that, nothing.:confused:
