Hi guys.
Came across this at gnome-look and have been playing around with something similar.
It uses e a tweeked background image for the panel with a image and a transparency which you can play around with. The image can have a solid color for the one part and use a transparency faced towards the direction of the desktop pertaining to the top or bottom panel. The result with the transparency is that the icons read below the bar part that you see and I really like the look of it. It also works with compiz but the default shading does not look good, still haven't played with that yet as this is my first try at this.
So far I am using the min size of 23 pixels with a 24pix graphic but playing around with the size the icons change size a lot more at 32pix on my system.
We can have fun playing with this,, anyone know any nice rounded panel icons?
