New to Linux in general

OK, so I'm poor, and I happened to stumble across a Pentium 3 CPU I think a 400-500 meg? and like 264 memory... not bad, but I didn't have any money to buy an operating system! then I remembered hearing that Linux is free, I did some research and I realised that it's free because it's not easy to install and stuff, and then I came across the Wonderful Fedora Core 1. I am happy I got it and I installed it with no other OS in my computer. It looks pretty cool and I love all the stuff but i can't get around at all in it!
I don't know how to install programs and stuff (all of them say "type the commad so and so" BUT WHERE DO I TYPE IT IN???)
I tried to get Limewire, I downloaded what they had, but now I have no idea what to do with it.
Sigh!
I need advice, I'd love to learn Linux and become knowledgeable in it!

Is it a possibility that you could afford a book? THe book that I started with is Linux for Non-Geeks, by Rickford Grant. It is very well written and covers Fedora Core. I got it for 35 u.s. dollars.

www.half.com offers good deals on used books and on ebay too....

i read one that its called Moving To Linux.....but i hear about some people have a fedora core bible which i never seen....

Cllick the redhat on the tool bar, select system tools and then select terminal. This gives you the command line.

it has sections on installing with rpm, yum. apt...etc...
www.google.com/linux is a good search tool for information....
