Hi,

I'm having trouble downloading the DVD isos. FTP and HTTP on several mirrors report that the size of the file is between 75 and 72 MB, which is obviously incorrect.

I tried ignoring that and downloading the DVD iso. What happens is that if the download processes is interrupted after downloading 75-72MB of the software, I cannot continue it using wget -c.

It is thinking that the download is already complete.

Anyone had success downloading the DVD isos?

BTW, I cannot use bittorrent as i'm behind a cheap DSL modem that won't blocks access to my network from the outside.

Is this when using ftp mirrors? I heard something about this being a problem with the ftp settings/protocol. Try some http mirrors and or a different download manager.

I tried both, FTP and HTTP mirrors with no luck.

What I'm trying to do now, instead, is download the CD isos and then convert them to a DVD iso using this tool:

http://www.linuxcompatible.org/story23334.html

It is an old tool though, I'm hoping it will still work on FC2.

Try this baby :
http://ftp.freshrpms.net/pub/freshrpms/fedora/linux/1/d4x/d4x-2.5.0-0.rc3.3.1.fc1.fr.i386.rpm

Downloader for X;
Pause the download, right click, choose "Alternates, add the same file from a different mirror, ok, right click choose properties > common > segment download > (However many mirrors did you add)

This rocks, full speed Road Runner downloads during the rush for core 2.

kimatrix: That's what I tried, and couldn't complete the download. I'm currently downloading the CD isos, hoping they will get converted properly to DVD.

Norm: Thank you for the suggestion. I will try it if I cannot produce the dvd from the cd isos. I'll probably install this package anyway. Sounds like a great app :)

Thank you for all the help. I will report back with the results that I get from trying this.
